Our Experience

This was our first time riding the iconic big orange balloon, and honestly, it was even more fun than we imagined! We arrived a little early (pro tip: aim for the morning or early evening for the best weather and shortest lines), checked in at the Visitor Center, and signed our waiver. The staff were super friendly and explained the safety rules.

The ride itself is gentle and steady—no scary drops, just a smooth ascent as you’re lifted 400 feet above the park. The views? Absolutely incredible! You can see the city, mountains, and even the ocean on a clear day. We went right before sunset and were lucky enough to see the sunset on the balloon. We snapped a ton of photos (definitely bring your camera or phone for this one).

It felt so peaceful up there, floating above the hustle and bustle.
