Shot of Art: a twist on an artistic date day

Why We Recommend It

  • Unique Factor: Where else can you combine a little friendly competition with genuine artistic expression? The shooting art technique (yes, you literally launch paint at a spinning canvas!) is unlike any other art class or paint night we’ve tried.

  • All Skill Levels Welcome: You don’t need to be an artist—just bring an open mind and a willingness to get a little messy.

  • Great for All Types of Dates: Perfect for couples, friends, or even a small group outing.

If you’re searching for a truly unique and memorable date night in Los Angeles, let us introduce you to Shot of Art. We recently spent an evening here and—spoiler alert—it was a 10/10 experience! Our Experience

From the moment we walked in, the energy was infectious—bright colors everywhere, friendly staff, and lots of excited chatter from other guests. After checking in and signing our waivers, we were given a quick rundown of the process (and fitted with aprons for splash protection).

We got to choose our paint colors. We debated for a good five minutes—would we go bold with neons, or stick to something more subtle? Once we’d picked our palette, it was time to start shooting and spinning. Shooting the paint, instead of painting it is both exhilarating and hilarious. There’s nothing quite like seeing your patterns come to life in real time, and every piece comes out completely unique.

We ended up with a piece that’s now proudly displayed at home—a colorful reminder of a night full of laughter and creativity. The whole session flew by, and we left already planning our next visit.
